Subject: Your order — what went wrong and how we're fixing it today
Hi Jordan,
You paid for express and it still hasn't arrived — and this isn't the first time. That's frustrating, and I'm sorry.
Here is what happened: the courier lost your parcel at their sorting hub on Tuesday. That's on us to fix, not on you.
What I'm doing right now:
- Shipping a replacement today by express, at no cost to you.
- Refunding your 12 € express fee — you'll see it within 3–5 working days.
- Adding 15% off your next order, as a small thank-you for your patience.
I'll send the tracking number as soon as it's picked up. If anything looks off before then, reply to this email and it comes straight to me.
Warm regards, Sam — Customer Care
Live chat version

Internal note
- Root cause: parcel lost at courier hub; the customer has had earlier delays too.
- Escalate: yes — flag the account and ask logistics to review this courier's lost-parcel rate.
- Prevent: proactive "your parcel is delayed" message when a scan is missing for 24 hours.
